Dr. François Rameau is an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Korea. He received his PhD in Vision and Robotics from the University of Burgundy, France in 2014 under the joint supervision of Prof. Cedric Demonceaux, Prof. Desire Sidibe, and Prof. David Fofi. Following his doctorate, he joined the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), first as a postdoctoral researcher and later as a Research Professor under the prestigious KRF fellowship program from 2017 to 2023. His research centers on 3D computer vision, machine learning, and collaborative robotics. Dr. Rameau has established an accomplished research track record with numerous publications in top-tier computer vision and robotics venues. His work addresses fundamental challenges in 3D scene understanding, omnidirectional imaging and augmented reality.
