About the Project:
UDAAN (Unleashing Digital Acceleration and Ambition of Nepali Youth) is, European Union–supported nationwide initiative implemented by a consortium led by Youth Innovation Lab, with NAAMII as a key implementing partner alongside Heifer Project Nepal and Women In Animation. The project empowers young people, especially those from marginalized communities with digital skills, innovation opportunities, and pathways to employment through training in AI, coding, and creative technologies, as well as internships, fellowships, innovation programs, and partnerships with local governments, academic institutions, and the private sector, contributing to a more inclusive and future‑ready workforce in Nepal.
Position Summary:
The Community Manager plays a key role in onboarding learners and strengthening partnerships with communities, academic institutions, and industry. By cultivating relationships, coordinating collaborations, and supporting learner engagement initiatives, this role helps create meaningful learning pathways and sustainable partnerships that align with organizational goals and community needs.
Key Responsibilities
Learner Outreach, Onboarding & Engagement
- Lead outreach initiatives to identify, attract, and onboard learners into learning platform, with a focus on inclusive participation of women and marginalized youth.
- Coordinate learner registration, orientation sessions, and onboarding processes to ensure smooth entry into training, fellowships and internships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for learners, addressing queries, providing guidance, and maintaining consistent engagement throughout the program lifecycle.
- Support learner retention and participation through community‑building activities, check‑ins, and feedback mechanisms.
- Facilitate communication between learners and program teams to ensure a positive and supportive learning experience.
- Partnership Development & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, colleges, training institutions, community organizations, local governments, and industry partners.
- Coordinate with academic institutions and training providers to support learner referrals, joint activities, and pathway development.
- Engage private sector and industry partners to support internships, fellowships, mentorship, guest sessions, and real‑world project opportunities.
- Serve as NAAMII’s representative in partner meetings and coordination forums related to UDAAN implementation.
- Support consortium coordination by aligning community and partner engagement activities with overall project goals.
- Community Building & Ecosystem Engagement
- Foster active learner communities (online and offline) encourage peer learning, collaboration, and networking.
- Organize and support community events such as info sessions, meetups, orientation workshops, demo days, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Strengthening linkages between learners, communities, academic institutions, and industry to build a sustainable digital skills ecosystem.
- Program Support & Coordination
- Support implementation of project’s digital skills training, innovation activities, internships, and fellowships by coordinating learner and partner engagement.
- Work closely with technical, training, and project teams within NAAMII to ensure community and partnership activities align with program timelines.
- Ensure timely dissemination of program information, schedules, and opportunities to learners and partners.
- Communication, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of learners, partners, outreach activities, and engagement outcomes.
- Collect community feedback, learner insights, and partner inputs to inform program improvement and reporting.
- Contribute to progress reports, success stories, and documentation required by NAAMII and the project.
- Support communication efforts by sharing program updates, opportunities, and community highlights through appropriate channels.
- Inclusion, Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
- Promote an inclusive, safe, and gender‑responsive community environment aligned with UDAAN’s GESI principles.
- Ensure all community engagement and onboarding activities uphold principles of gender equality, social inclusion, and safeguarding.
- Promote respectful conduct, safe spaces, and ethical engagement across learner and partner interactions.
- Identify engagement challenges or risks and escalate them appropriately to project leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management, social sciences, education, communications, development, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in partnership management, community engagement, outreach, admissions, or stakeholder coordination.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work across institutions and diverse stakeholders.
Experience in event, cohort, or field coordination with strong operational follow-through.
Comfort with documentation, trackers, and coordination across multiple concurrent activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with colleges, universities, youth programs, or training initiatives in Nepal.
Experience supporting outreach or partnership work for education technology or workforce development programs.
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Nepali.
