Quantum Computing Meets LHC Physics
València, Spain · 22–24 September 2026
Dr. Prasoon Saurabh, Founding PI of the BDCAS Lab at NAAMII, recently presented in the LHC Quantum Computing Workshop at the Instituto de Física Corpuscular (IFIC) in València, Spain.
The presentation, titled "Imaging Mesoscopic Resonance Percolation via Topological Capacity Exhaustion," introduces a novel order parameter designed to track thermalization in many body quantum simulations. This method aims to overcome the "critical slowing down" often faced by classical computers when simulating the extreme conditions of the Large Hadron Collider.
By proposing this scalable approach to Lattice Gauge Theory, the Algebraic Quantum Dynamics (ADQTI) and Quantum Native Machine Learning (QNML) departments at the Bhaweshwar Das Center for Advanced Studies (BDCAS) at NAAMII continue to position Nepal as an emerging hub for theoretical quantum physics and high-energy computational research.
Dr. Saurabh’s research connects condensed matter physics and high-energy physics, including work on the stability of 2D Many-Body Localization (MBL) and its relationship to lattice gauge thermalization relevant to LHC physics.
