I am a physician-scientist by training and practice. My research interests are in health services and systems design, translation, implementation, and evaluation. At NAAMII I lead the  TrAI Lab (Translating Advances in Artificial Intelligence Into Health Services) where my work focuses on the translation and implementation of AI tools and technology into health services, their integration into clinical workflows, and evaluation–with a view to optimizing their appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency. My clinical practice is in internal medicine. My academic background and training is in internal medicine, hospital medicine, health services research, and public health. I am also involved in Arete Healthsciences, the Health AI for All Network, and Medharma Clinics.
